Robert McDowell

Robert J. McDowell, age 77, a resident of Selma, AL, passed away January 9, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ellen McDowell; son, DeWayne Hinson and a brother, Jack McDowell. Surviving are his sons, David McDowell, Robert (Francis) McDowell, Kelly (April) McDowell and grandchildren, Kim (Bob) Petit, Thomas McDowell, Karen McDowell, Eric McDowell, Beth McDowell, Cody McDowell, Taylor McDowell and Autumn McDowell; and great-grandchildren, Sam McDowell, Tyler McDowell, Caden McDowell, Sean McDowell and Shana McDowell. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Archbishop Charles Jones officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 2-4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Benevolence Fund at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 1204 Highland Avenue, Selma, AL 36701.
