Robert Elmer Stoudenmire passed away November 23, 2022 at the age of 79. He was born December 14, 1942 to the late Robert O. Stoudenmire and Jewell I. Stoudenmire.
He loved bowling and was proud that he had bowled a "Perfect 300." He and his late wife were married at the Selma Bowling Alley at the edge of the lane where he had bowled his perfect game. Robert served faithfully in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle Stoudenmire; sisters, Charlotte E. Stoudenmire and Denene Stoudenmire; brother, Gordon W. Stoudenmire and niece, Kristie D.Stoudenmire Thomas.
He is survived by his brother, Gerald S. “Stevie” Stoudenmire; sisters, Dedra R. “Renee” Stoudenmire and Sherri Stoudenmire (Ray) Cleckler; nieces, Melissa Stoudenmire (Mike) Powell, Tamara “Tammy” Stoudenmire (Eric) Bearden and Michael (Angie) McGee; great-nieces and nephews, Taylor, Kortney, Tracey, Emily, Colton, Cameron, Caden, Archer, Emily and Alyssa and great-great nieces and nephews, Aynslee, Asher, Jenson and Axel.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Harris officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Barry Vines, David Benson, Michael McGhee, Mike Irwin, Billy Vaught and Timmy Franks. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Cleckler, Mike Powell and David Sanders.
