Mary Ruth Collins Harrell was born January 13, 1933. She rejoined her husband Clyde in heaven on March 23, 2020. She had a long, happy and good life, and brought happiness and joy to all who knew her. She was a woman of faith and lived it daily. She had many jobs over the years, but helping Clyde open and run Harrell’s Refrigeration was tied with being a Sunday School teacher as her favorite occupation. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Luther and Mozelle Collins, her brother and sister in law Buster and Shirley Collins, and the love of her life, Clyde W. Harrell.
She is survived by daughter Marie Harrell, son Curtis Harrell, daughter-in-law Lisa Harrell, grandchildren Austin Harrell and Sydney Harrell, her sisters in law Shirley Litman (Rich), and Adele Davis, niece Donna Davis, nephew Kevin (Michele)Litman, great nieces and nephew Danielle Davis, Caleb Litman, Reagan Litman, and many children and grandchildren of her heart, her church family and her work sons.
Due to large gatherings not being possible right now, there will be no visitation and a private grave-side service. At a later time when it is safe to do so, there will be a Celebration of Her Life. It adds to the family’s grief that they cannot gather together with everyone she loved and those who loved her at this time. Please stay safe and well and we will remember her in a later service, as well as all our lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Selma Church of God 523 Hampton Rd. Selma, AL. 36701.
