Sam Smith

Sam Wiley Smith, Jr. passed away November 2, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born December 11, 1945 to the late Sam Wiley Smith, Sr. and Irene Goodman Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Wiley Smith, Sr. mother, Irene Goodman Campbell, stepfather, James Campbell,  stepmother, Annie Jean Smith, daughter, Sherry Irene Smith; brother, Ed Smith and sister, Betty (F.J.) Headley.

He is survived by his children, Teena (Jeff) Smith, Diane (Jeff) Mullins, Sonya (Scott) McHaney, Tammy Frasier, James (Wendy) Smith, Traci (Jonathan) Pitts, Daniel (Angie) Smith and Charity (Kevin) Price, 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and siblings, Marie (Jeff) Vining, Jerry (Lisa) Smith, Mike (Betty) Smith and Ted (Debrah) Smith.

Funeral services will be on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with and Minister Teena Smith and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Smith Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin before the service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Scott McHaney, Tim Headley, Donald McCloud, Eli McCloud, Thomas Norwood, Jr. and D. Paul Smith.
