Samaan Dabit

Samaan Yousef Dabit, age 75, of Selma, AL, passed away August 17, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Yousef and Amal; grandson, Christopher Z and sister, Wedad. Surviving are his wife, Aida; children, Joseph (Lana), Zuheir (Faten), Maher (Ayda), Amal and Morris (Julie); siblings, Khalil, Naem, Naja Naima, Seham and Arkade; grandchildren, Aida (Ward) Bedsole, Elias, Samuel, Samaan, Amal, Deana, Brianna, Nicholas, Christina, Jamal, Samaan Z, Matthew, Liza and Maya and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, 309 Washington Street, Selma, AL with Rev. Richard Myhalyk officiating. Visitation and viewing will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Selma Funeral Home Chapel from 6-7:30 p.m. with the wake following at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Dabit was the owner of On Time Fashions.
