Sammy Cannon

Sammy G. Cannon passed away April 14, 2019 at the age of 64. He was born January 29, 1955 to the late Garland and Sarah Cannon.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Cannon; sisters, LeGrande (Doll) Hill and Glenda Cannon; father-law, Bert Colong; brother-in-law, Ronnie Mock and sister-in-law, Beth Cannon.

He is survived by his wife, Farida Cannon; daughters, Sarah (Phillip) Hendrix, Samantha (Nick) Barkley and Norma Smoke; sons, Clint Cannon and George Smoke; grandchildren, Mackenzie Hendrix, Kyler Hendrix, Nathan Barkley and Ava Barkey; brothers, Aubrey (Jo Ann) Cannon, Walter (Debbie) Cannon and Richard (Carolyn) Hill; sisters, Gwen (Sidney) Hill and Louise Mock; mother-in-law, Norma Colong; brother-in-law, Kervin (Maja) Colong; sisters-in-law, Maria (Donald) Bedford and Sittie (Charles) Ouano and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. David Thomas officiating and  Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be Dave Cabe, David Wayne Hollingshead, Cory Pergue, Damian Boyle, Drake Cabe and Bryan Fancher. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Cole, Billy Osborne, Josh Pouncey, Jonathan Pouncey, Mark York, Adam Crovato and Justin Pouncey.
