Samuel McClinton Burge, Sr. passed away May 11, 2024 at the age of 76. He was born August 15, 1947 to the late Arthur and Mattie Lee Burge.
He was preceded in death by his sons, James Burge and Chris Burge and brother, Ricky Burge.
He is survived by his children, Sam (Kristine) Burge, Jr., Mechell (Charles) Elam; Paul Lee Burge (Kris) and Shawn Burge; daughters-in-law, Earline Burge and Christy Burge; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and sister, Janie (Jackie) Hawk.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Octagon Cemetery in Linden. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Justin Latham, Corey Burge, Charles Elam, Brandon Wright, Bart Fulgham, Rusty Fulgham, Cody Burge and Gage Burge.
