Dr. Samuel E. Evans, Jr., age 65, of Selma, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011.
He was faithfully dedicated to his chiropractic practice for over 41 years and was an active member of The Chiropractic Society of Alabama.
He is survived by his daughter: Angela Johnson (Ashley) of Troy, AL; son: Samuel E. Evans III (Katerina) of Annapolis, MD; grandchildren: Andrew Johnson, Kira Evans, Ashlyn Johnson, Kohner Evans and Caedon Evans; brother: Michael Evans; sisters: Susie Hohn, Melanie Breed and Becky Churchwell; and lifelong friend: Melinda Abreo.
He is also preceded in death by his parents: Dr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Evans Sr.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens .The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, May 23 from 6:00 é��é��é�" 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ashley Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Wayne Plummer, Dr. Jason Reed, Mike Stokes, and Dr. David Bradford. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bill Lightfoot, Dr. Don Overstreet, James Tennimon, Burt Fondren, and John David Johnson , and The Chiropractic Society of Alabama.
