Sara Atchison

Ms. Sara Nell Johnson Atchison of Plantersville passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. She was born in Chilton County, Alabama on September 20, 1939 to the late Charlie M. Johnson and the late Annie Laurie Griffitt.
She was a floral designer for many years.
She is survived by her children, Laura (Steve) Moore and Barry (Kim) Atchison; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Erskin Atchsion; siblings, Dot Jones, Jimmy Johnson, and Earl Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Kay Atchison.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Plantersville Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Golson and Rev. Don Stevens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
Interment will follow in the Plantersville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Atchison, McCall Atchison, Grant Moyes, Adam Moyes, Clay Pegues, and James Merchant.
