Sarah Chance Hood
Sarah Chance Hood, age 87, of Selma, recently relocated to Lavonia, Ga., passed away on Sunday March 24, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband's: Roland Chance and John Hood; parents: J Henry and Emma Ward Kendrick; grandson: Derek R. Chance; brothers: Edlow Kendrick; sisters: Erie Hall ,Annie Merle Flamming and Mary Alice Jackson. She is survived by her son: Danny D. Chance (Tricia Glenn) of Lavonia, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She worked as a teller for Peoples Bank, a member of Elks Ladies Auxiliary and a past treasurer of Eastern Star.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 30, 2013 at the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Crim and Rev Gordon Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Travis Wilson, Roy Kendrick and Bo Southerland and Jerry Chance.
