Shirley Mixon Bailey age 70 of Plantersville, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born October 2, 1951 to the late Jessie Mixon and Evelyn Jones Mixon.
She was retired from the shipping department at International Paper.
Mrs. Shirley leaves behind her children, Willie C. Bailey, Jr., Cedric L. Bailey (Angela), Chris L. Bailey (Antrenna), Eric T. Bailey (Maricruz Garcia), Shunn D. Bailey (Kristy), and Jarnez H. Marzette (Ashley Caton); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Evelyn Jones Mixon; and siblings, Quintin Alexander, LoLetha Alexander, Frank Mixon, Theodore Mixon, Annette Anderson, Tara Mixon, and Tim Mixon.
Mrs. Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Jessie Mixon; and two brothers, James Harris Mixon and Alvin Mixon, Sr..
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with David Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her sons, Charles Bailey, Cedric Bailey, Chris Bailey, Eric Bailey, Shunn Bailey, and Jarnez Marzette.
