Shirley Faye Hill Little of Valley Grande passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 14, 2022 at her home at the age of 73. Her final days were spent surrounded by family that loved her tremendously.
She was born in Berry, Alabama on October 18, 1949 to the late Rayburn Hill and the late Mildred Campbell Hill.
She was a former clerical administrative assistant for Warren Manor Nursing Home.
Shirley loved her family, friends and pets. She donated to several charities and cared about all of God’s creatures. She appreciated each phone call, each visit and always spoke her mind. She encouraged all in her life to honor God and live through him. She
rejoiced in knowing she would soon be in the place which she so longed for (Heaven). She also rejoiced in knowing she would soon meet her soul mate and best friend again (her loving husband, Wayne Little (Honey)). She wrote the following before her death: Remember me with smiles and laughter, that is how I will remember you. If you can only remember me with tears, don’t
remember me at all. Although she experienced obstacles her entire life, her faith in God and her family never wavered. She will forever be remembered and adored by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband (Joseph Wayne Little), her parents (Rayburn and Mildred Hill), her 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Shirley is survived by her 3 children, son Gregory Cook, daughters Tonya Nichols (husband Brian) and Wendy Brown; grandchildren Justin Cook, David Nichols (wife Allison), Dorian Brown (wife Priscilla), Haley Barton (husband Ben), Ariel Brown, Kourtney Brown and Brielle Butler; great grandchildren Elizabeth Cook, Spencer Nichols, Suraiya Brown, Ariyah Brown, Zaheir Brown and Ava Barton.
