Shirley Blanton

Shirley Margaret H. Blanton, age 77, of Selma, AL, passed away March 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Frances Hill and sister, Linda Jean Hill. Surviving are her husband, Marshall D. Blanton; children, Lynda Frances B. (Chris) Atwood of Santa Fe, NM and James Kenneth (Claire) Blanton of London, England; sister, Janet Frances H. Greggory and grandchildren, Brook Elizabeth Palmer of Rockport, TX and Elodie & Millie Blanton of London, England. She was an active member at First Christ Church and worked for a number of years at Roger Butler Jewelers. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in the Annie King Chapel with Russell Morrow officiating. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the outpouring of prayers, support and concern for Shirley, particularly as her health deteriorated.
