Sidney Harris, Jr.

Mr. Sidney E. "Gene" Harris, Jr. age 85 of Valley Grande passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. He was born January 26, 1935 to the late Sidney E. Harris, Sr. and the late Sadie Rush Harris.
He was a retired postal worker.
He is survived by his children, Martha Jean Harris, Sidney E. "Chuck" Harris, III, and George Charlton Harris (Renee); grandchildren, Jessica Lee Harris Milton (Clay), Ivey Nicole Harris (Andrew Brooks), and Whitt Charlton Harris; great-granddaughter, Lucy Milton; and brother, William Donald Harris (Faye).
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Harris; parents, Sidney and Sadie Harris; and a brother, Franklin Harris.
Graveside services only will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:00 am at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Johnny Rush officiating.
