Stanley Brooks Day

Stanley Brooks Day passed away December 30, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born July 12, 1939 to the late Frank Melvin Day and Mildred Russell Day.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Russell C. Day, Jack Day and Jimmy Day.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lynne LaPorte Day; children, Rhonda Clark, Stanley Brooks Day, Jr. and Christy Day; step-children, Glenn Wesley Jones and Amanda Jones Curran; grandchildren, Shelby Clark, Stanley Brooks Day, III, Paige Clark, Bella Day, Zachary Wolfe, Billy Curran and Lawton Curran and brothers, Henry C. Day and Victor Day.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Denny McClendon, Rev. Tom Stacey and Mr. Dick Boozer officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Ray Skinner, John Lide, David Summerlin, Jerry “Doc” Meeks, Randy Malone and Charlton Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Fairview Baptist Church.
