Stella Williams

Stella D. Williams, age 78, of Selma, AL, passed away October 5, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Downing; brothers, John Downing and Jack Downing and sisters, Jewel Nichols and Helen Mims. Surviving are her husband, Alton E. "Hank" Williams; children, Hannah Williams, Cindy (Raymond A.) Long and Sussanne (Beau) Franklin; brothers, Mike (Jean) Downing and Jerry (Jean) Downing; sister, Hazel J. (John Pillius) Downing; grandchildren, Chris Williams, Daniel Williams, Jim (Joy) Rolen, Jennifer (Brandon) Mitchell, Michael York, Matthew (Delany) York and Dylan Franklin and great-grandchildren Hunter Mitchell and Ryker Williams. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ed Byrom officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be deacons of Fairview Baptist Church.
