Susan Curry

Susan Loretta Curry, age 67, of Sardis, AL, passed away February 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by parents, George and Juanita Hanks and sister, Beth Hanks Houston. Surviving are her husband, Larry Curry; children, Brian Curry and Amanda Blauvelt; brothers, Richard (Joy) Hanks and David (Janet) Hanks; sisters, Alicia (Phillip) Hanks. Adalia (Don) Hanks and Cindy Clem; grandchildren, Alyssa Curry, Dylan Curry, Peyton Benson and Clay Blauvelt, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by her best friend and riding buddy, Teresa Justice, who was by her side until the very end. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Light officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Greenville, AL. Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5-7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Ira Curry, Teddy Pouncey, David Hanks, Jr., Tony Nolen, Demond Nolen and Johnny Rigsby. Susan touched the lives of everyone around her and had a kind, genuine, loving spirit. She was strong in her faith. Susan had a passion for horses and now she's riding her favorite horse, Show 'N Off in Heaven. Happy trails, Susan!
