Sybil Whitacre
January 8, 1935 — November 16, 2017
Mona Sybil (Woolley) Whitacre of Valley Grande, Alabama passed away on Monday November 13, 2017. Her daughter Pamela Holaday was by her side.
She was a fighter. She fought a 60 year battle with Diabetes and took care of her husband Joseph Whitacre till he passed in 2016.
She was the daughter of Mary and George Woolley of Selma, Al. In 1958 she married her life long husband Joseph Whitacre.
She was such a blessing to her family and will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela Holaday, (husband Larry), Son Mike Whitacre (wife Roxann), Grandchildren Jennifer Acox, Patrick Holaday, Katelynn Bolt, and Travis Whitacre. Great Grandchildren Sara Greenway, Jesica Greenway, Kyle Acox, Cody Acox and one Great Great Grandchild Teeghen Hatch.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, 2017 at Memorial United Methodist Church
with Rev. Steve Kopp officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens.
