Therman Alex Waldrop, age 71, of Greensboro, passed away Sunday April 1, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Estelle Ousley Waldrop; children, Jeffrey Therman Waldrop (Diana) of Mobile, AL., Pamela Nagar (Vivek) of Austin, TX., and Karen Smith (Robert) of Moundville, AL.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Therman Waldrop, Jr., Kristen Elizabeth Waldrop, Amanda Watson, Nicholas Watson, Rohan Andrew Nagar, and Asha Nichole Nagar.
A much beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Therman was born in Randolph on May 13, 1940 to Bertha Mae Stough and Alex Z. Waldrop. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Vivian Hinson.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Wayne Earl, Bobby Seales, John Henry King, Jerry Ousley, Jack Ousley, Glenn Hinson, Robert Wayne Hinson, and Joseph Suddeth.
Services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Derrick Ousley officiating. Burial will follow at Alpine Baptist Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service directing. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
