Thomas Monk, Sr.

Thomas Mason Monk Sr., a resident of Greenville, Alabama for the past seven years and formerly of Selma passed away December 5, 2021 at the age of 92. He was born July 6, 1929 to the late Thomas Travis Monk and Mamie Maness Monk.

Mr. Monk was a member of the American Legion – Thomas R. Mackin Post 20, the Elks Lodge #167 and Valley Grande Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Brady Monk; sisters, Edna Monk (James) Kelly, Anne Monk (Rick) Lambert and daughter-in-law, Deborah Warr Monk.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas Mason Monk, Jr. and William Bryan Monk, Sr.; grandchildren, Thomas Mason (Dusti) Monk, III, William Brian (DeDe) Monk, Jr., Lauren Monk (Bobby) McCaa; great-grandchildren, Sela Elizabeth Monk, Thomas Mason Monk, IV, Leah June Monk, Madison Lynn Monk, Bailey Ross Monk and Saylor McCaa.
