Thomas W. "Billy" Swindle, age 74, of Selma, AL, passed away July 6, 2018.Billy worked for Golden Flake for over 33 years.He is preceded in death by his wife of forty two years, Marie Swindle; son Tony Lee Swindle: brothers, Edison Swindle and Edwin Swindle; sister and brother in law, Ila Mae (Lewis) Aultman and brother in law Ernest Aultman.He is survived by his son, Tommy (Betty Carol) Swindle; daughter, Teresa (Craig) Smitherman; sisters, Lorene (Henry) Hill and Lila Jean Aultman; sisters in law, Betty Swindle and Joyce Swindle; grandchildren, Christopher Swindle, Cory (Rachel) Jones, Lauren (Ryan) Woodson, Andrew Swindle, Robbie Wiese and Alex Smitherman; great grandson, Grayson Jones and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Barnes officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m.Pallbearers will be Joe Aultman, Clay Steward, Tommy Love, Lamar Morgan, James Edmonds and Michael Edmonds.Billy's family would like to thank the Doctors and Medical staff on the third floor and the ICU at Vaughan Regional Medical Center, as well as The UAB MICU and Palliative Care Unit.The family will be accepting flowers or donations to The American Cancer Society American Cancer Society P.O.
