Timothy Ross Friday, a dedicated professional and beloved member of the Selma community, passed away on July 2, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished forever.

Born on September 14, 1959, Timothy was a charismatic and hardworking individual who demonstrated his unwavering commitment to his craft throughout his lifetime. As the proud owner of Friday's Appliance for over 25 years in the Selma area, he not only established himself as a respected entrepreneur but also serviced countless households with exceptional expertise. Timothy's skills were not limited to appliances alone; he was a self-taught plumber, HVAC technician, and an overall jack of all trades.

Though his professional accomplishments were significant, Timothy's true joy resided in the simple pleasures of life. He had an undeniable affection for his loyal companion, Pearl, his beloved dog who brought him immeasurable happiness. Their companionship was a testament to Timothy's kind and compassionate nature.

One couldn't discuss Timothy Friday without acknowledging his remarkable talent as a salesman. Whether it was selling appliances or engaging in conversation with those around him, he possessed an innate ability to connect with people on a personal level. His warm demeanor and genuine care for others made every interaction memorable and meaningful.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Friday; his father, James Friday Jr., his mother, Betty Sue Rhodes Pitts, and step-father, Clarence Pitts.

Timothy will be deeply missed by his children: Sabrina Friday Cummings and Kirk Friday. They carry within them the values instilled by their father – values of perseverance, compassion, and integrity. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Matthew Tyler Cummings, Kaden Friday, Kameron Friday, and Kaley Friday, who were a source of endless joy and pride.

Timothy's former wife, Judy Friday, played an important role throughout his life. Their shared memories traverse time and stand as a testament to the enduring connections that shaped Timothy's journey. He is also survived by his brothers: James Earl Friday, Joseph Friday, and Michael (Debbie) Friday – each a cherished confidant and lifelong companion. His sister, Anita Middlebrooks, held a special place in his heart, as did his numerous nieces and nephews who brought him immeasurable happiness throughout their lives.

In the wake of Timothy Ross Friday's passing, those who knew him best will forever hold dear the enduring memories they created with him. His uplifting spirit will be remembered in every appliance sold at Friday's Appliance, in every plumbing or HVAC issue resolved skillfully, and in every encounter where his salesmanship was truly unmatched.

A memorial service will be Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Lifepoint Community Church (formerly Billingsley Church of God).
