Tipton Leon Burnette, age 85, of Valley Grande, died Wednesday September 2, 2009. Survivors include his wife, Blanche Burnette; sons, Tipton Leon Burnette, II (Carla), and Glenn Allan Burnette, sister, Margie Engellant and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday September 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Stanton, AL with Brother Danny Rasberry officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday September 4, 2009. Mr. Burnette was part of a large family of eleven.
