Mr. Tommy Gaylor age 65 of Marion and formerly of Selma, after one heck of a fight passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
He was born on August 24th, 1956 in Selma, Alabama to parents Douglas Gaylor and Mary Lee Smith Gaylor.
Tommy was former Bush Hog employee, where he worked in the shipping department. He also served as a member of the Dallas County Rescue for many years.
He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, friend, and a lifelong Alabama fan. Tommy loved his family more than anyone could imagine. There was nothing you could ask him to do that he didn't do for you. Helping people was his biggest passion.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Gaylor; his son and daughter-in-law, Alan (Kathy) Gaylor; brothers,
William (Jackie), Danny (Patricia), and Robert (Nancy) Gaylor; brother-in-law Lennie Gauthier; brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Barbaba (Rick) Blackerby, Janice (David) Scott, and Brenda Cranmore; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fur babies Bella, Kura, Anabelle, and NeNe. Also a host of friends that he truly loved and felt as if they were part of his family and his adoptive kids over the years that considered him to be their second parent.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Mary Gaylor; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Mary Jo Willis; his sister, Mary Lane Gauthier; brother-in-law, Dale Cranmore; and nephew Richard "JR" Blackerby.
Tommy's wishes were to not have a funeral service but for his family and friends to remember him and remember that he loves you all.
