Tommy Lee McCray, born Wednesday, May 4, 1941 in Havana Alabama, went to be with God Tuesday, February 11, 2011 at 2:43 pm at Flower���s Hospital in Dothan after an extended illness. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and will be missed by many. Tom loved working with his hands and being in his workshop. He also worked for Cooper Brothers Construction in Selma, Alabama for 8 years. He was a member of Living Waters Worship Center and attended Blue Jean Church at First Presbyterian.
He is survived by his wife: Becky McCray (Davenport); children: Debbie McCray (Mike) Gene McCray (Helena), Deresa Taylor, Wayne McCray (Tracey), Gary McCray (Toni) Tonya Gougler (Trampas) and David Peeples; mother: Annie Phillips; brother: Bobbi Ann Humphryes (Billy Jack); sisters: Joyce Gray, Linda Anderson (Gary), William ���Sonny��� Phillips (Shirley); Beloved Uncle: Ted Jones (Georgia);several nieces and nephews; 14 Grandkids and 13 Great grandchildren
Mr. McCray is preceded in death by his dad; Leroy Nichols, 1995, and step dad William Phillips, 2005.
Pallbearers will be Mike Bailey, Trampas Gougler, Justin Haas, Gary Wayne McCray , Keith Barber, Benny Carl Hollingshead, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at Gates of Heaven cemetery in Dothan at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14 with Bob Armstrong officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Lawrence Funeral Home.
