Velma Lester

Velma Smith Lester of Selma, AL passed away July 18, 2014 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Carl Lester and brother, Huey Smith. She is survived by her brothers, Sam Smith and J.C. (Mary) Smith; sister in law, Margurite Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Smith officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in New Live Oak cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ones favorite charity.
