Mrs. Vera Mae Perry, age 79, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010. Preceding her in death were her husband, Rev. Ananias Perry, Jr.; son, Rev. Micah Perry; brothers, William Bolling and Tenella Bolling. Mrs. Perry leaves to cherish her memory seven sons, Richard William Perry, Al (Renate) Perry, Rev. David (Margaret) Perry, Rev. Isiah Perry, Sr., Selma, AL, Curtis (Tulato) Perry, Augusta, GA, Ananias (Yvonne) Perry, III, Millbrook, AL, and Roy Collins, Chicago, IL; and one daughter, Patricia Perry (David) Moore, Demopolis, AL; daughter- in-law, Janice Perry; and a niece that she regarded as a dear and only sister, Catherine (Willie James) Hunter. Others who regarded Mrs. Perry as "Mom/Grand Ma" and are recognized as sons and daughters, include Brad (Kewonia) Grimes, Fort Hood, TX; Carlos (Keisha) Grimes, George Grimes, Stanley Brown, Valerie Newell, and Tyson Carbajal (who preceded her in death); twenty-four grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren; brother-in-law, Benjamin (Nettie) Perry; sister-in-law, Carrie (George) Bethea, and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 12 noon at Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church with Pastor Tony C. Scott officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will be at Fairlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Steward Board members of Brown Chapel AME Church. Active Pallbearers are grandsons, Michael Perry, Nathan Perry, Tyrone Perry, Ananias Perry IV, David "Trey" Moore III, Taurquis Peoples, Micah Johnson, and Isiah Perry, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rev.
