Victor Swift

Victor Earl “Vic” Swift, age 66, of Selma, Alabama died May 23, 2018 at his home after a short illness.

Graveside services will be Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 p.m., before the service.

Born October 1, 1952, Vic was raised by his loving parents, the late Nita Hamm Allen and Andy Allen. He graduated from Southside High School in 1970 and joined the U.S. Army as a military police officer. When he returned home, he married his loving wife of 43 years, Kay Lester Swift on August 1, 1974. Together their reared three daughters, Lenae Hatfield, Kaylee Swift McWherter and the late Margie Swift Bowden.

Along with his wife and daughters, Vic leaves behind his grandchildren, Allen (Morgan) Crawford, Elizabeth Day, Blake Hatfield, Kaylen Bowden, Britney Hatfield, Jay McWherter and Henleigh McWherter; brothers, Wayne Swift and Andrew Allen; sister, Ann (Greg) Gentry and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
