Virginia West Sherrer

Virginia Sherrer, age 92, of Selma, passed away Thursday, April 3rd, 2025.

 She is survived by her son, Thomas A. Sherrer Jr. of Dothan, AL, and her grandchildren, Thomas Sherrer III and wife Kristy, and Will Sherrer and wife Liz, and her sister, Gail. 

Mrs. Sherrer was a loving and supporting wife to her husband, Al Sherrer, who passed away in 2012, and the best mother and grandmother a family could ever ask for. She was a true servant to those she loved, and she will be dearly missed. Mrs. Sherrer was also a dedicated employee at Southern Bell telephone company for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Sherrer was an active member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Selma where she worshiped every week and made many lifetime friendships. 

A brief burial service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Plantersville Christian Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing.
