Virginia Trammell

Virginia Trammell, age 84 of Selma passed away on Saturday March 6, 2010 at her home She was a strong and loving person. She was called, ���Iron Lady,��� for her battle against cancer for 9 years. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Bro. Jessie Sanchez officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. . Mrs. Trammell was married on March 9, 1947 to Fletcher Porter Trammell and they remained married for 52 years until his death in 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Porter Trammell, her 2 sons, James and Phillip, a nephew, Nicolos, her 2 brothers, Jerry and Joel, and her parents. She is survived by her children, David (Betty) Trammell, Luann Alcontara, Tammy Trammell, Kelly Trammell, Jesse Trammell, a brother, Jerry Hutto, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a special pet, Millie, and numerous other relatives. Pallbearers will be family members. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the American Cancer Society in her name. The family will receive friends on Monday March 8, 2010 from 6-8 at the funeral home.
