Virginia Williams

Virginia Ann (Pugh) Williams, age 81, passed away December 11, 2017, at the home of her daughter. A native of Selma, AL, she was born February 23, 1936, the second of four children, to parents Lemma and Dennis Pugh. Virginia graduated from Parrish High School in 1954, as well as, from the University of Alabama in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She began her nursing career at various hospitals settling in Tuscaloosa, AL, where she worked until retirement from Bryce Hospital. Among her many interests were sewing and playing her organ. Virginia leaves to mourn, her daughters, Teresa Mashburn, Patricia Edwards and Leslie (Terry) Homan; sister, Mabel (Pugh) Sewell; brother, James Pugh; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Robin, Michael and Scott, eight great-grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews. Virginia is predeceased by her parents and sister, Ruth (Pugh) Russell. Selma Funeral Home, Valley Grande, AL, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements which will be shared at a later date.
