Wallace Skinner

Wallace E. Skinner, age 94, of Selma, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Union United Methodist Church on County Road 67 in Sardis with Rev. Linda Tarver and Rev. David Cook officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Carlowville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Skinner was born in Carlowville, Alabama and served in the Navy Seabees during World War II. After his military service, he worked for 37 years at AT&T in offices in Selma, Tuscaloosa, and Demopolis. He was an active member of Union United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Elba E. Skinner.
He is survived by his daughters, Alice Skinner of Montgomery, and Evelyn Nobels (Didier) of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Sylvie Bray (Matthew), Valerie Trone (Justin) and Oliver Nobels as well as special caregiver and friend, Lynn Eaton.
