Walter Garrison Jr

Walter H. Garrison, Jr., age 93, died Saturday June 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hardy Garrison and Julia Reynolds Garrison.

Mr. Garrison was a lifelong resident of the Summerfield Community in Dallas County. While serving in the United States Army Air Force from February 1942 to November 1945, Mr. Garrison received a World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the American Service Medal.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 19, 2012 at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Donald Harris officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Edwards, Dan Edwards, Allen Fancher, Dale Nichols, Susan Nichols and Ken Nichols. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Staff of Marengo Nursing Home in Linden, AL.
