Walter Rose

Walter "Buddy" Rose, age 73, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away June 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Helen Rose; brother, Roy Rose and sister, Betty Ruth Johnston. He is survived by his wife, Faye Rose; children, Sheila (Roger) Stockman, Sheri (Clifford) Sanderson, Robert "Robbie" (Tammy) Rose and Randy Rose; step-children, Diane (Jay) Ingram, Dawn (David) Sharpe and Leigh Cox; the mother of his children, Elaine Rose Davis; sisters, Lois Smith and Anne Glass; grandchildren, Amanda (Brad) Stubbs, Emily Stockman, Robert (Jessica) Rose and Trent Stockman; great-grandchildren, Jacob Addison, Landin Stubbs and Annie Rose; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved pets, Bandit and Ms. Daisy. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Overlook Hills Church of God with Pastor Keith Chandler officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Friday, June 19, 2015 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be James Dennis, Tommy Wade, Brian Hood, Mike Genard, J. R. Chandler and Tommy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Overlook Hills Church of God, Harold Ragland, Earnest Morgan, Alvin Duncan and Peewee Voltz.
