William Lee "Pete" Anthony, age 75, passed away July 16, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Hazel Anthony and his brother, Fred Anthony. Pete is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Shirley Anthony; sons, Larry (Donna) Anthony and Gary Anthony; grandsons, David Anthony and his fiancée, Kristi Tupper and Alan Anthony and his fiancée, Kayla Rockett; brother, Kenneth (Dixie) Anthony of Grantville, KS; sister, Betty Perry of Kinmundy, IL; brother-in-law, Charles Broadhead; sisters-in-law, Margaret Ward and Carol Broadhead and numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was a member of the Selma Masonic Lodge #926 F & AM and he served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1956. He was employed at Auto Zone for over twenty years, where he loved his job and helping people with their cars. He enjoyed life and loved spending time with his grandchildren and his five cats. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and loved his pastor, church family and members of the Dick Bean Ready Sunday School Class. He loved hanging out at Frankie Rodger's store and with the Marion Junction Gang. Pete will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Eaton officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Alan Anthony, Dan Taylor, Michael Fondren, Robert Ingram, Jerry Little and Dexter Bright. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class, George Troha and Tom Moore. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Vaughan Regional Medical Center for their care of Pete.
