Wilbert Middleton

Wilbert Rex Middleton, age 86, from Selma, Alabama, died on September 17, 2020 in Scottsboro, Alabama where he was residing with his son, Jeff.

Rex was born in Lamison, Alabama on February 17, 1934 to Jacob (J.B.) and Bama Middleton.  He was a food distribution salesman and spent 4 years in the U.S. Army finishing his service as a corporal.

Rex loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Westwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Middleton and his wife Rosanne and his grandchildren, Hope, Brizzi and Levi Middleton.

He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Flo Middleton; his second wife of 15 years, Gladys Middleton; brothers, James and Curtis and his sister, Aleen.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Levert officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.
