William Felix Newsome

W.F. "Bill" Newsome of Deatsville, Al. passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 73.

He was born in Selma, Alabama on May 11, 1949 to the late Walter Lee Newsome Sr. and the late Bernice Marie Wallace Newsome.

He retired as a switch master with Southern Railroad and later in life as the owner and operator of a lawn care business.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Newsome Jones and granddaughter, Olivia Lee Jones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Newsome, Sr. and Bernice  Marie Newsome; wife, Sharon Harrison Newsome; and brother, Walter Lee Newsome Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Tiger Jones officiating.
