Willie Mae Vasser Brantley entered into eternal rest on September 16, 2007, in San Antonio, TX following a period of declining health and strength. The span of her earthly pilgrimage was 74 years. Today we rejoice in knowing she has passed the barrier of time, as we know it, and is forever at home with her Saviour.
She was born in Selma, AL to the late Louis and Mozella Vasser, Jr. on July 20, 1933. She moved to Cincinnati, OH in the late 1960's, where she met and married Frank Brantley, After living in Ohio for 32 years, she moved to San Antonio, TX in 1992 in order to be closer to her daughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; brothers, Herbert, Joseph and Simon Vasser.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Annie "Pearl" Olison; son-in-law, Daniel C. Olison, Jr.; five brothers, Robert, Valentine, Samuel, William "Jimmie", and Louis "Johnny" III; three sisters, Annie Celli, Mary Louis, and Mary Ann; one grandson, Frederick Wayne (Erin) Olison; three great-grandchildren, Ahndre, Dion and Dominique and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. S. M. Nealson officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2007 from 6-8:00 p.m.
