Woodrow Lamar Burton passed away March 7, 2016 at the age of 89. He was born February 6, 1927 to the late Tulley Alvin and Abby Robertson Burton.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jessie Mae Burton; sons, Prentis Burton, Earl Burton and Alvis Burton; daughters, Carolyn Lawrence, Doris Strickland and Vicky Owens; fourteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Burton and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
