Wylie Walker

Wylie Lee Walker, age 87 of Valley Grande passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher and his nephew Rev. Glenn Walker officiating and burial following in the Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery in Plantersville.
Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Verga Nell Walker, brothers Willie Walker, E.A. Walker, Jessie Walker and Earl Walker, sisters, Lelia Ousley (Wade) and Annie P. Johnson (Dick Pickering and Wallace Johnson); brother-in-law, Carl (Jeanette) Jones.
He is survived by his sister, Evelyn (Tom) Aultman, sister-in-laws, Ruth Ann Walker and Lettie Walker; nephews and nieces, Jerry Ousley, Jack Ousley, Lois Suddeth, Estelle Waldrop, Glenn Walker, Mark Walker, Diane Maddox, Cindy Morgan, Sharon Long and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Quintus Williamson,Wesley Kelly, Joseph Suddeth, Wade Ousley, John Jones, and James Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Suddeth, Therman Waldrop, and Tom Aultman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
